Hindley Street Music Hall is extremely committed to ensuring a safe space for everyone who comes through our doors.
We promote inclusivity and will not allow any poor behaviour to either patrons or our staff. We ask that people help our team by calling out any violence or discrimination and racism. We want to encourage people to become proactive bystanders. We ask you make it known to one of our security team, managers, or the box office.

TICKETS
If you’re no longer able to attend a show you have the option to Reissue Your Ticket to someone else, and pending on the event, Resale may be available. We recommend only purchasing tickets through authorised agencies, and to avoid purchasing tickets through people you do not know on social media or other websites.
Tickets can only be purchased via our website or our ticketing partner Moshtix.
For rescheduled shows, we encourage all ticket holders to retain their tickets until the new date is announced. Our bookings team are working hard to arrange a new date and as soon as we get any update on this, either the venue or Moshtix will be in touch to let you know. If, once the new dates are made available you are unable to attend, you will have the option to request a refund if applicable. For cancelled shows, customers will be notified and refunds processed. Please keep an eye out in your inboxes for updates, and be sure to check your promotions, other and junk folders in case the updates have accidentally gone in there.
Booking fees are charged to cover administration and delivery costs as well as bank fees. Booking fees are not refundable.
We post door times for all shows on the What’s On tab within a week of the show.
We post set times for “All Age” and Under 18 Shows.
We encourage our patrons to head in early and support emerging artists.
Yes, on certain performances the venue will be open to people under the age of 18. The viewing location of the under 18 patrons may change subject to the discretion of the venue. Please check the individual gig page for relevant age restriction info for the show you wish to attend.
If you have misplaced your confirmation email containing your tickets, you can access your tickets by logging into your Moshtix Account to view or download them. If you created your booking as a Guest, Sign Up here to register and access your tickets using the same email address that was used for the booking.
Pass outs are available throughout the night via your ticket. You will be scanned in and out by the security team.

If you have trouble standing for mobility reasons and require a seat for a standing show, we can arrange this for you.

This venue accepts companion cards. Simply purchase your ticket and contact the venue to arrange access for your Companion. You must have a valid Companion Card and Photo ID to match when attending an event.
Note: for any events with VIP Packages or extra inclusion items, access for the Carer only includes event entry. Should your Carer wish to take advantage of the package extras they will need to purchase the VIP Package tickets. No discounts apply for the full packages.

To ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience at Hindley Street Music Hall, please be aware of the following Conditions of Entry.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
By entering Hindley Street Music Hall (“Venue”), you agree to the terms and conditions set out below together with those referred to on your ticket (as applicable).
Venue management reserves the right to refuse entry to, or evict from, the Venue any person who:
- Is intoxicated.
- Brings, or attempts to bring, into the Venue any prohibited item listed below.
- Does not have a valid ticket or form of entry.
- Is behaving in an anti-social or disorderly manner.
- Refuses to comply with these conditions of entry or any instructions of Venue management.
General Conditions
- Patrons consent to the use of their image, likeness and voice captured at the Venue in any medium, including without limitation, live telecast, social media, video recording or photograph for reporting, archival or promotional purposes.
- Patrons are advised that the Venue is fitted with electronic surveillance and patrons may be recorded for the safety and security of all visitors.
- No pass-outs will be issued, unless approved by Venue management.
- Patrons must only enter the Venue with a valid ticket, pass or invitation issued by an authorised ticketing agent or Venue management.
- The Venue is strictly a smoke-free venue, including e-cigarettes and vaping.
- Patrons 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult in unlicensed area(s).
- Personal reusable plastic drink bottles must be empty and under 600mL capacity. (There are free water stations in the Venue.)
- Patrons must provide government issued photo identification to enter licensed area(s).
- Patrons entering the Venue do so at their own risk and acknowledge and agree that the Venue has no liability for any damaged, lost or stolen property, nor for any other loss, damage or injury suffered, whether in contract, tort or statutory liability to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- Additional event specific conditions of entry may be applicable and enforced at the direction of the Venue hirer or by Venue management for any given event.
Prohibited Items
Patrons are not permitted to bring the following items into the Venue:
- Alcohol of any nature (including consuming alcohol upon entry to the Venue).
- Banners, posters, flags or signs larger than an A3 sheet of paper.
- Any unauthorised promotional, advertising, commercial, political, religious or offensive items or material, including but not limited to leaflets, clothing, stickers or flyers.
- Illegal substances, including controlled, dangerous or illicit drugs.
- Flares, fireworks, smoke bombs or any other explosive devices.
- Chemical, radioactive or biological substances.
- Weapons of any nature (e.g. knives, bladed weapons or firearms).
- Laser pointers.
- Eskies, backpacks or any bag larger than 30cm x 30cm.
- Aerosol cans of any nature.
- Animals (Police or assistance dogs excepted).
- Bicycles, scooters, rollerblades or skateboards.
- Cans, or glass or metal drink containers.
- Cameras and equipment (e.g. DSLR, video cameras, audio recorders, tripods or selfie sticks).
- Large electronic devices (e.g. laptops or tablets).
- Musical instruments (authorised performers excepted).
- Chairs, stools or any other furniture.
- Hot food/meals.
- Large umbrellas.
- Drones, balloons or any other flying objects.
- Prams or strollers.
- Any other item which, in the opinion of Venue management, could cause harm, offence or public nuisance.
Lost property remains on site for a limited time before being donated or disposed of and we take no responsibility for items left behind at the venue. Please email hello@hindleymusichall.com.au to enquire about any lost property.
Please seek the assistance of a security member, a duty manager or head to the box office.
We provide a safe and quiet space for you to communicate to one of our appointed managers.

Our band rooms are general admission and standing room only, however, some gigs or events will have allocated seating. Check the individual gig page for details. If you require a seat for accessibility reasons, please email hello@hindleymusichall.com.au in advance of the show to see if something can be pre-arranged.
We ask that you listen to our security team who are trying to make a safe and easy exit for you. We want to be great neighbours and would love you to respect that by leaving in an orderly manner and not to cause undue noise or disruption to our local community.
Yes, wheelchair access is via the main entrance at Hindley Street. Please enter via the Box office door. Our staff we be there and available to assist you to a designated area.
No, you cannot record an artist’s performance. You would require permission from the artist as per the Copyright Act, as the performance is “owned” by the artist. The authority to allow or not allow such recording devices on the night rests with the artists performing and not the venue.

Merchandise is available for most shows at the merchandise booth next to the bar on level one, a second merchandise booth will be available next to the bar on level two for larger shows.
We have a very limited cloak room located at the Box Office.
Please nothing larger than a standard carry-on if storing a bag.
There is low lighting in the venue as needed for shows. All walkways are clearly marked, however, if you have low vision and need assistance, please let us know via the Box office and our staff will be happy to help.
Strobe lighting will be used in the venue and we will do our best to make the audience know when entering the venue if it’s planned for that nights performance.

We want all of our patrons to be able to show off their unique sense of style however please don’t show up in thongs / flip flops or crocs because not only won’t you be allowed entry, but you will be reported to the Fashion Police.
