With over 1.75 billion global streams, Suki Waterhouse’s evocative storytelling, honeyed vocals, bright-eyed melodies, and genre-blending sound have made her a force to be reckoned with as a platinum-certified indie pop songstress. The London-born artist’s new album Loveland (released via Island Records) debuted at No. 3 on Spotify’s Top Albums Debut chart in the US and was met with critical acclaim including 4-star reviews from The Times, DIY, DORK, and NME, who confirmed the album shows how Suki has become “one of modern alt-pop’s most consistent and brilliant artists.” Rolling Stone called the album “her best work yet,” praising how it is “full of hooks, organic production, and confessional lyrics,” while NPR included the album in their Best New Albums of the Week list, and Variety raved that her “sublime new album…puts Waterhouse’s expansive range on full display.”
Loveland follows 2024’s Memoir of a Sparklemuffin, which propelled Suki to bigger stages and greater acclaim from outlets like The Line of Best Fit who celebrated it as “a beautiful array of diary-like confessions that weave between cutting balladry and defiant pop-rock” to the Los Angeles Times who said she “sparkles and shines” on the album, and SPIN who hailed that her “excellent sophomore album…marks an important milestone, solidifying her as an artist with a presence as enigmatic as it is captivating.”
In 2022, Suki released her standout full-length debut, I Can’t Let Go, which garnered praise from Variety, NYLON, The Guardian, and more, and paved the way for her subsequent single “Good Looking” to surge online, earning nearly a billion streams, and ultimately becoming RIAA certified platinum. On stage, Suki is, as NYLON declares, “one of music’s greatest showmen.” She has sold out her own headlining tours, opened for artists like Taylor Swift and Laufey, and graced many festival stages including Coachella and Lollapalooza. Suki is currently on her headlining Loveland Tour and was recently announced to open for Sombr as part of his UK arena tour next summer.
